Day three of my Parish Development Model (PDM) assessment tour in Greater Mubende has been both insightful and inspiring. The energy on the ground is undeniable—communities are actively engaging with the PDM framework, and early signs of progress are visible.
From farmers leveraging PDM resources to boost productivity, to SACCOs showing improved governance and accountability, it’s clear that the model is beginning to unlock real potential for grassroots transformation. Each parish tells a unique story of resilience, innovation, and hope.
This tour is about more than monitoring—it’s about learning, listening, and ensuring that the voices of the people are shaping the future of the PDM. I’m encouraged by the commitment of local leaders and citizens alike to make this initiative a true engine for inclusive development.
We continue onward—together—for a stronger, self-sustaining Uganda.
