Minister Kafuuzi Mobilizes Support in Mpara, Pledges Power, School, and Health Services

Jackson Kafuuzi Karugaba, has called on constituents to exercise patience and offer unwavering support to their leaders for effective service delivery.

Minister Kafuuzi made the remarks on Thursday, June 19, during a series of community engagement meetings in Mpara Sub County, aimed at mobilizing voter support for the NRM and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The minister began his outreach at Bijampola Trading Centre, proceeded to Nyakatoma, and concluded the day with back-to-back meetings in Kyasega “A” and Kyasega “B” villages. At each stop, Kafuuzi updated residents on several ongoing and upcoming government projects, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to transforming rural communities.

Power, Water, and Education Projects Promised

Among the key pledges made by Minister Kafuuzi were:

Extension of electricity to more parts of Mpara Sub County Construction of St. Mary’s Nyakatoma Seed Secondary School Extension of piped water systems to underserved areas

Health Services to Be Upgraded

On the health front, the Minister revealed that Mpara Health Centre III will be elevated to Health Centre IV status starting July 1st, in line with government policy ensuring each sub-county has a comprehensive health facility. He also pledged to lobby for the construction of an additional Health Centre III in the area to meet the growing healthcare needs of the population.

A Caution Against Divisive Politics

Kafuuzi urged voters to remain vigilant against leaders who exploit religious or tribal sentiments for political gain, stressing that unity and shared development goals must be prioritized over identity-based politics.

District Chairman Commends Development Efforts

Hon. Kafuuzi was joined by the Kyegegwa District Chairperson, Mr. John Kisoke Byamukama, who praised the Minister’s relentless lobbying and highlighted recent infrastructure achievements. These include the improvement of key road networks such as:

Rwahunga–Bidwori–Nyakatoma Road Kyatega–Katamba–Sigosire Road
