DAG Kafuuzi Jackson, Kyaka South MP, Cries Out for His Life

KYEGEGWA – Deputy Attorney General and Kyaka South Member of Parliament, Hon. Jackson Kafuuzi Karugaba, has expressed deep fears for his life after receiving intelligence about a planned attack on him.

In a leaked WhatsApp group chat from the Kyaka Development Forum, Hon. Kafuuzi revealed that there are individuals plotting to burn his car either in Kyegegwa or Fort Portal town. According to him, the plan is fully financed by people accusing him of giving away their land.

“Rev, there’s much more you have not heard. There’s a plan to burn my car in either Kyegegwa or Fort Portal town. Fully planned and paid for by individuals accusing me of giving out their land,” he wrote.

The MP further disclosed that he had been warned against attending a football match in Fort Portal due to potential security risks.

“There was a football match in Fort Portal and I wanted to attend it but I was alerted/warned not to go for security reasons,” he added.

His revelation sparked concern within the forum, with one member, identified as Pan Africanist Balam, responding: “This is serious.”

Hon. Kafuuzi’s claims come at a time when tensions around land disputes and politics in the Tooro sub-region have been intensifying, raising questions about the safety of leaders and residents involved.

Security authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the alleged threats.
