Kyegegwa, October 8th, 2025 – The people of Kyegegwa witnessed a historic transformation in the delivery of justice as the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Hon. Jane Frances Abodo officially opened the Kyegegwa Justice Center — a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance access to justice and promote efficiency within the justice, law, and order sector (JLOS).
The new Justice Center brings together three key justice institutions under one enclave — the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the Magistrates Court, and the Central Police Station of Kyegegwa This integrated approach aims to streamline coordination among justice actors, reduce delays in handling cases, and provide citizens with timely and dignified justice services.
Constructed under the supervision of the ODPP, with funding and technical support from the Government of Uganda, the Justice, Law and Order Sector (JLOS), and development partners, particularly the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the facility stands as a symbol of progress and commitment toward ensuring justice for all Ugandans.
During the official opening, Hon. Abodo emphasized the importance of bringing justice services closer to the people and the need to uphold the rule of law through integrity, collaboration, and accessibility.
This Justice Center is not just a building; it is a promise that every Ugandan, regardless of their background, will have access to timely and fair justice, remarked Hon. Jane Frances Abodo, the Director of Public Prosecutions.
