Koboko District continues to shine as one of Uganda’s fastest-growing regions, recording significant progress across key sectors, including wealth creation, infrastructure, and education.

Under the Parish Development Model (PDM), the district has received Shs 18.2 billion, empowering over 18,000 households to actively participate in the money economy. The initiative has boosted small-scale enterprises, agriculture, and household incomes—marking a major milestone in the government’s drive to uplift rural communities.

In the area of economic and social infrastructure, Koboko has made commendable strides. Access to safe water has now reached 79% of villages, improving the quality of life and public health across the district. Electricity expansion has also transformed the community, with homes, schools, and businesses now connected to the national grid—ushering in a new era of productivity and opportunity.

The education sector, too, continues to benefit from deliberate government investment. Koboko now boasts 59 government primary schools, 6 government secondary schools, and 2 new Seed Schools currently under construction to ensure that each sub-county has a secondary school.

These developments demonstrate the government’s unwavering commitment to inclusive growth and service delivery, ensuring that no Ugandan is left behind in the journey toward social transformation and economic prosperity.

Koboko has made great progress. Under our PDM, the district has received Shs18.2 billion, supporting over 18,000 households to join the money economy, the leader noted.
