President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has congratulated Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania and leader of the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Party, upon her re-election as President of Tanzania.
In his message, President Museveni said the victory reflects the trust and confidence that the people of Tanzania have in President Samia’s capable leadership and transformative vision for their country.
Uganda and Tanzania share historic bonds of friendship and cooperation. I look forward to working with President Samia to further strengthen our partnership in trade, infrastructure, and regional integration for the peace and prosperity of our people, President Museveni said.

The re-election of President Samia Suluhu Hassan marks a continued chapter in Tanzania’s journey of progress and stability under the CCM. Uganda and Tanzania continue to enjoy close bilateral ties rooted in shared history, mutual respect, and a common pursuit of development across the East African region.
The two nations are also key partners in regional projects such as the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP), cross-border trade initiatives, and joint efforts to enhance peace and security within the East African Community (EAC).
President Museveni’s message reaffirms Uganda’s commitment to deepening collaboration with Tanzania in advancing socio-economic growth and regional integration for the benefit of both nations and the wider East African region.
