Theme: Tugumizeemu n’owawe Mali — Let’s strengthen and protect what we have achieved
Kyegegwa District continues to witness visible transformation driven by committed leadership, people-centered development, and strengthened community engagement. At the center of this progress stands Hon. Flavia Kabahenda Rwabuhoro, the Woman Member of Parliament for Kyegegwa District, whose leadership has focused on empowering the vulnerable, uplifting households, and building stronger local structures for sustainable development.
Empowering Women, Strengthening Families
Hon. Flavia has placed women at the forefront of socio-economic advancement. Through training initiatives, enterprise support, and financial literacy, women’s groups across the district are accessing opportunities that translate into household income and improved livelihoods.
From distributing agricultural inputs, promoting cooperative savings, supporting market women and young mothers with skills, to strengthening UWEP, GROW, and PDM access, her interventions continue to unlock economic growth at the family level.
When we empower women, we strengthen families and transform our communities. Hon. Flavia Kabahenda.

Skilling and Supporting the Youth
Hon. Flavia has championed practical skills that turn young people into job creators. By offering apprenticeships, bursaries, and start-up support in trades such as tailoring, welding, ICT, and mechanics, hundreds of youth have transitioned into meaningful income streams.
Youth groups, sports associations, and innovator clubs continue to benefit from her mentorship programs, capacity-building sessions, and enterprise empowerment.
Better Health, Better Community Welfare
Her service reaches health facilities, families, and individuals facing vulnerability. She has supported health centers with essential supplies, promoted maternal health, and strengthened outreach programs focused on immunization, nutrition, and reproductive health. Special attention has also been placed on the elderly, persons with disabilities, and babies orphaned at birth.
Education and Institutional Support
Hon. Flavia’s influence in the education sector has ensured safer and more supportive learning environments. Schools have received scholastic materials and infrastructure support, while girls have benefited from safe accommodation, mentorship, and advocacy for equal opportunity.
She has also worked closely with teachers and community literacy groups to promote formal and adult learning.
Community Development and Infrastructure
Beyond institutional efforts, Hon. Flavia remains rooted in the grassroots. She has supported culvert installations, opened access roads, contributed to community fundraising drives, and promoted environmental protection.
Water access, electrification, civic education programs, and agricultural transformation remain part of her ongoing advocacy.
National Interests, Local Impact
At the national level, Hon. Flavia actively represents Kyegegwa in decision-making spaces on matters of gender, social protection, labor, and economic inclusion. Her lobbying efforts continue to unlock government programs and ensure equitable access for communities back home.
As Kyegegwa advances, Hon. Flavia Kabahenda encourages communities to build on what has been achieved—peace, social support systems, enterprise empowerment, and growing infrastructure.
She believes that sustained development is possible when communities protect existing gains and work collaboratively toward new opportunities.
Kyegegwa stands stronger today because of leadership driven by compassion, accountability, and service. Looking ahead, Hon. Flavia’s vision is simple: protect the gains, deepen transformation, and empower every household to thrive
