Kazo District —  More than 900 Special Police Constables (SPCs) have been officially passed out after completing their training at Kazo Secondary School in Kazo Town Council, Kazo District.

The pass-out ceremony was presided over by the Kazo District Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Capt. (Rtd) Yahaya Kakoza, who represented government at the function.

Addressing the newly passed-out constables, Capt. (Rtd) Kakoza commended them for their commitment and discipline during the training period, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity, and respect for human rights as they execute their duties.

He reminded the SPCs that their role is critical in supporting the Uganda Police Force to maintain law and order, particularly during periods of heightened public activity, including political and national events. He also cautioned them against engaging in acts that may tarnish the image of the security forces.

The RDC emphasized the importance of patriotism, teamwork, and cooperation with the community, noting that effective security begins with good relations between security personnel and civilians.

The pass-out marked the successful completion of the trainees’ program, clearing them for deployment to various parts of Kazo District and beyond to support ongoing security operations.

Local leaders who attended the function welcomed the deployment of the SPCs, saying their presence will help strengthen security and improve response to community safety concerns across the district.
