The digital era continues to reshape the music industry, and local artist Bruno K is leading the charge by advocating for live streaming as a powerful tool for growth and fan engagement.
Following the remarkable success of his debut TikTok live show, Ekiboozi, Bruno K is encouraging fellow Ugandan artists to embrace live streaming not only as a promotional avenue but also as a viable source of income.
“We might see more local artists turning to live streaming,” Bruno K said. “I think it’s the way to go for us as artists these days because it helps us connect with fans, reach new people, and build social networks.”
Bruno K’s decision to launch Ekiboozi came after parting ways with fellow musician Crysto Panda’s Champanya show. The move, while bold, is already proving to be fruitful. With increasing viewership and fan interaction, Ekiboozi is quickly becoming a popular platform among his followers.
The artist believes that the ability to interact with fans in real-time gives live streaming an edge over traditional promotional methods. “It’s not just about performing; it’s about building a community,” he emphasized.

As digital platforms like TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram continue to grow in popularity, Bruno K’s success story could signal a shift in how local artists market themselves and build sustainable careers in the music industry.
With more artists likely to explore this route, live streaming might just be the next big thing in Uganda’s music scene.
