Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa Urges Unity Among NRM Supporters Ahead of 2026 Elections

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has called on National Resistance Movement (NRM) supporters in Ruhinda North, Mitooma District, to embrace unity and cooperation as the party prepares for the upcoming 2026 general elections.

Speaking to a large gathering of party faithful during a mobilization meeting, Tayebwa emphasized the importance of maintaining cohesion during and after the party primaries. He urged all candidates to commit to peaceful competition and called on those who may not succeed in the primaries to continue supporting the party.

“Let us remain united as a family,” Tayebwa said. “Winning or losing a primary should not divide us. The strength of the NRM lies in our ability to work together, no matter the outcome.”

He stressed that unity was not only key to securing victory in 2026 but also essential in delivering vital services to the people of Mitooma and beyond.

As the countdown to 2026 begins, the Deputy Speaker’s message resonated with many in attendance, reinforcing the call for solidarity and teamwork within the party.
